Dog Point Fish Camp has been used by the Littlefield family for generations. It is a protected cove 10 minutes from the Sitka road system by boat. Many extended family members have used the property to preserve fish and deer. Started in 1986 John and Roby Littlefield began to organize and share the camp experience with community youth. In 1991 we became incorporated as the North American Traditional Indian Values Enrichment Program: NATIVE Program, Inc.
Over the years hundreds of Sitka children and parents have participated in this free program. Up to 25 children, parents and knowledgeable Elders will gather for a week at a time in June, July and August. There is no charge to the children or their families. We apply for grants and ask for donations from community members and agencies.
